Making Experience
Ray's experience in the wine making industry started in 1972 whilst selling grapes brought
up from South Australia to our customers at the old premises at Percival Road, Smithfield.
This later led to a thirst for knowledge in the wine making process, and due to his involvement
with different wineries as a cooper and help from such icons as Murray Tyrell, started making wine.
A shop was later set up at the front of the premises selling a small range of wine making equipment for
the home winemaker. In 2003 we moved to larger premises on The Horsley Drive, Smithfield and now carry a
very extensive range of wine making equipment.
We also offer advice and basic wine analysis backed by 33 years experience in the industry.

We have a large range of other consumables for the home winemaker like; plastic storage containers in various sizes - both new and second-hand,
second-hand wooden barrels (in wine making season only), washing and sterilising agents,
yeasts, preservatives, clearing agents, acids, testing equipment, airlocks, taps, hydrometers,
bottle brushes, siphoning equipment, wine thieves, funnels, large corks and rubber bungs -
bored and plain etc.
We also carry the Vintners Reserve wine concentrates in a variety of red and white wines.
This 28-day wine making kit contains 100% pure varietal grape
juice concentrate and produces approximately 23 gallons, 30 standard wine bottles of finished product.
The Vintners Reserve concentrates offer a wide range of varieties that allow the winemaker
to experience numerous styles and tastes. These kits are made from grapes harvested from around the world.
The grapes are destemmed, juiced and run through a low temperature vacuum that gently extracts water without
destroying flavour. They aseptically package the concentrates in bladders and
package those bladders in boxes with all the necessary yeast, additives and a full set of instructions.
